The Funeral has taken place of Johnny Duddy, who campaigned on the Bloody Sunday issue.

Mr. Duddy passed away at his home in Derry on Monday (May 3). He was 87.

The father of four was the brother-in-law of John Johnston who was shot on Bloody Sunday in January 1972,  and who died of his wounds later that year.

Recently Mr. Duddy had said he believed he was one of the oldest people still alive who had been present on Bloody Sunday.

Requiem Mass took place at 10 a.m. in St. Eurgene’s Cathedral.
