Memorial service is held for tragic Enniskillen couple

A memorial service has been held for tragic Enniskillen couple Bill and Anne Barbour, who died in November.

The couple had been well known and liked in the County Fermanagh town.

Mrs. Barbour, who was 83, had been suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. Her body was found in the family home. The body of her husband, Bill, who was 89, was discovered in nearby Rossole Lough.

It is understood the couple, who had been married for 66 years, had agreed to end their lives if Mrs. Barbour’s illness deteriorated beyond a certain point.

The Memorial Service was held in Erne Integrated College.

The event gave many local people the opportunity to pay their respects to the couple.
