Two men die in ballooning accident

Two men have died after an accident involving a hot air balloon.

The incident happened at a village near Bath in England.

Eyewitnesses say the balloon was on fire as it plunged on to a bowling green  in Midsomer Norton.

It is understood the men had been attempting a high altitude flight when the accident happened.

Members of the balloon’s support crew were understood to have arrived quickly at the scene of the crash.

Experts from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch will be involved in trying to establish what led to the tragedy.
