Political satirist and impressionist Sean Crummey is laid to rest

THE funeral has taken place of the political satirist and impressionist Sean Crummey.

Mr. Crummey, who was 53, was the main voice behind BBC Radio Ulster’s The Folks On The Hill show.

He passed away on Sunday (November 13) just a day after his final show was broadcast. He had been suffering from cancer.

Tributes were paid from not only the entertainment world but from politicians across the political spectrum in Northern Ireland, many of whom had featured in Mr. Crummey’s immense range of impersonations.

The Funeral Service took place in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Dunmurry, with Requiem Mass being held at 12 noon. 

The father of three was buried in Blaris Cemetery, Lisburn.
